These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Electrimum hardware wallet products and related services provided by Electrimum Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

By purchasing, using, or accessing our products and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our products or services.

Products and Services

Hardware Wallets

We manufacture and sell cold storage hardware wallets designed for offline custody of private keys. Our devices are purpose-built for security and do not include trading, exchange, or custodial services.

Technical Support

We provide technical support, firmware updates, and documentation for our hardware wallet products throughout their supported lifecycle.

What We Don't Provide

We do not provide cryptocurrency trading, exchange services, custodial services, or financial advice. We are exclusively a hardware manufacturer.

Third-Party Integration

Our devices may integrate with third-party software and services. We are not responsible for the performance or security of third-party services.

Firmware and Software

We provide firmware updates and companion software to enhance device functionality and security. Updates may be required for continued support.

Documentation and Resources

We provide comprehensive documentation, user guides, and educational resources to help users maximize the security and functionality of their devices.

Enterprise Solutions

We offer specialized enterprise solutions with additional features, support levels, and compliance tools for institutional customers.

Warranty Services

We provide warranty coverage and repair services for manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use conditions.

User Responsibilities

As a user of Electrimum hardware wallets, you are responsible for:

  • Secure Storage: Safely storing your device, PIN, and recovery phrases
  • Firmware Updates: Installing security updates and firmware patches
  • Backup Procedures: Creating and securing proper backups of your recovery information
  • Physical Security: Protecting your device from theft, damage, or unauthorized access
  • Compliance: Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and regulations
  • Due Diligence: Verifying the authenticity of your device upon receipt
  • Proper Usage: Using the device according to manufacturer instructions and guidelines
  • Environmental Care: Protecting the device from extreme temperatures, moisture, and physical damage
  • Access Control: Maintaining control over who has access to your device and credentials
  • Regular Maintenance: Performing regular security checks and maintenance procedures
  • Incident Reporting: Reporting security incidents or suspected compromises promptly

Warranty and Support

Hardware Warranty

We provide a 2-year limited warranty on hardware defects from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

Software Support

We provide firmware updates and security patches for a minimum of 5 years from the product launch date. Extended support may be available for enterprise customers.

Warranty Exclusions

  • Physical damage from drops, water, or misuse
  • Damage from unauthorized modifications
  • Loss of funds due to user error or compromise
  • Compatibility issues with third-party software
  • Damage from extreme environmental conditions
  • Normal wear and tear of components
  • Damage from power surges or electrical issues

  • We are not liable for loss of cryptocurrency or digital assets due to user error, device compromise, or third-party actions
  • Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the hardware device

  • We do not guarantee compatibility with all software or services
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not responsible for losses due to forgotten passwords or lost recovery phrases
  • We cannot be held liable for regulatory changes affecting cryptocurrency use
  • We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions or failures
  • We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of our products
  • We are not liable for damages resulting from force majeure events

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

  • Reverse engineering or unauthorized modification of our products is prohibited
  • We respect third-party intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same
  • Open-source components are licensed under their respective terms

Termination and Changes

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our products constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

Service Discontinuation

We may discontinue support for older products with reasonable notice. Hardware functionality will continue independently.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
